In Hall 3, Stand B73, the traditional Darmstadt-based company will present its latest developments for the film-producing and converting industries, which go beyond slitting and winding machines. The globally renowned company is presenting a brand new machine at the trade fair as a result of its intensive research and development work on flexible packaging technologies.

New and modern design

The latest addition to the already comprehensive range of slitting and winding solutions is intended to surprise visitors with a completely new and modern design. The machine meets all the needs of the industry in terms of performance and precision. The compact two-shaft centre winder takes up very little space on the production floor and is available in the basic version with minimal capital investment. Despite its small size, technology is a top priority: In addition to the basic version, the new slitter rewinder can be equipped with extensive technical equipment options and tailor-made functions. It processes mother rolls with unwind diameters between 1000mm and 1600mm at running speeds of up to 600m/min. There is great interest in the latest product from Goebel IMS. The first orders have already been received from film manufacturers and converters.

In addition to the exhibited machine innovation, visitors can experience a comprehensive portfolio of slitting and winding solutions that combines high performance and quality with state-of-the-art technology. With impressive working widths of up to 12 000 mm, the MONOSLIT GIANT is a superlative among slitter rewinders for film producers. It processes a wide range of films such as BOPP, BOPET, OPP, CPP, BOPA, BOPS and other specialty films at speeds of up to 1500m/min. The MONOSLIT GIANT is designed for a variety of applications including packaging films, capacitor films and optical films.

Outstanding for narrow cuts

Outstanding results can also be achieved with INTERSLIT. It is reported to be the preferred choice especially for narrow cuts from 180mm and achieves running speeds of up to 1200m/min. In contrast, the INTERSLIT BSF slitter rewinder is used for processing demanding and sensitive materials such as battery separator films and wet-processed BOPE battery separator films with working widths up to 6000mm.

The portfolio is rounded off by the XTRASLIT 2. Since its introduction, this high-end machine has offered manufacturers of films and flexible packaging maximum performance, precision and flexibility and is therefore enjoying growing popularity, especially among CPP film manufacturers and manufacturers of metallized plastics.

"Our mission is to deliver outstanding solutions along the entire manufacturing chain. This is why we continuously invest in the development of state-of-the-art slitting and winding machines for both film manufacturers and converters. We are pleased to present our machine innovation and new service philosophy at K 2019 this year," explains Daniele Vaglietti, managing director sales and marketing at Goebel IMS’ parent company IMS Technologies Group.

Service package of the future

With the help of new, digital technologies, Goebel IMS is presenting its service package of the future at K 2019: "SURE, we care! (Service User Reliability Excellence). This advanced service approach and long-term action plans have been developed in collaboration with various customers. It enables the company to anticipate service and maintenance requests throughout the entire machine cycle, rather than simply reacting to them. Thanks to advanced technologies, innovative services and worldwide support can be offered via remote support or virtual reality with smart glasses. Integral elements of the comprehensive after-sales customer service are spare parts supply and field service support, as well as post-control, a real-time helpdesk, training, support with retrofits, relocation and preventive maintenance.

"We always focus on our clients and their needs. Whether we supply them with tailor-made, state-of-the-art slitting and winding solutions or offer them excellent, fast service," concludes Daniele Vaglietti.
