Being aware of the changes that are taking place in the converting world, the company has started adapting its machines’ designs to the latest market requirements: unwinding, cutting and winding of plastic films, paper and laminates have become the starting point to be integrated with other technologies and devices.

Integrated laser perforation

On display at K 2019: the integration of a laser perforation system into a slitter rewinder that is made possible by the single-face structure of Bimec’s STM50, one of the most popular models in the history of the company.

In fact, Bimec manufactures both compact machines and larger duplex turret slitter rewinders, which are highly automated to increase productivity and available in several configurations. The Italian manufacturer realises slitter rewinder projects that are tailord to its customers’ needs: They are suitable to be integrated with other systems such as roll handling, perforating, embossing, print visioning and more. The company prides itself in the ease of use of its slitter rewinders: They are designed to make operator’s work easier, and eliminate downtime during working cycles, but still reach high quality results.

At K 2019, Bimec will showcase a duplex turret slitter rewinder TCA64C+, which is equipped with a short web-path under running board and well-isolated from the floor to guarantee the hygiene standards and prevent any contamination of the material with dust. A TF model will be exhibited as well: Its design incorporates the best of two series: the compactness, ease of use and ergonomics of a single-face STM50 model with the high speed, technical solutions in rewinding and equipment found in the TCA series.
