“Together into the digital future” was the motto of the iT.CONnect in early November at Hotel ASAM in Straubing, Germany. In a fully occupied room, host Markus Kammermeier, head of HR solutions and member of the board of Straubing-based T.CON GmbH & Co. KG, presented an exciting programme with diverse and creative lectures.

While most companies were reluctant in the past concerning the digitalisation of processes, today they are convinced that “yes, we want to digitalise!” – which was followed by a silent “but how?”

This and further questions were answered by T.CON employees together with partners and customers at iT.CONnect 2017. The event started with a “Warm Up” at the T.CON building in Plattling. The participants were able to choose between the workshops “scrum” and “design thinking” before the official part of the iT.CONnect started after lunch in Straubing. On two days, the attendees were presented with important technical and economical insights into S/4 conversion as well as information on IT trends and digitalisation potentials.

Furthermore, Sonja Scharl, head of staff/communications at ZITEC Group and Evi Heuer, head of staff at T.CON, showcased how HR may contribute to competitiveness and creates room for strategic topics.

Another highlight of the event was the lecture by extreme climber Thomas Huber, the older of the famous “Huber Brothers”. Under the motto “Analogies between Mountains & Profession”, Thomas offered insights into how visions and ideas may be realised successfully, how to seize existing potentials with nimble strategies and planning, and how to come back stronger after defeats with perseverance and self-confidence.
