Multilayer films have become an integral part of everyday life. Constant price pressure and growing quality requirements, increasing legal and customer requirements as well as the urge for recycling management require new innovations. The focus of this year's PE and PP Film Days in Osnabrück on 12/13 April 2018 will be on product and production improvements with coextruded films.

The spectrum ranges from the use of biobased and biodegradable plastics and their processing on modern machine concepts to the true closing of cycles and innovative packaging technologies such as sealing. Speakers from science, the flexpack industry and plant engineering describe practical problems with multilayer films from the point of view of both manufacturers, i. e. extrusion plants, and users such as finishing companies or packers.

Speakers answer questions such as: What possibilities of process and quality optimisation exist for multilayer films? How can makeready times be optimised on modern extrusion lines and recipe changes be implemented quickly, easily and cost-effectively? How can the flatness and machinability of such complex multi-layer constructions be controlled? What happens to production waste and edge strip recycling?

Participants will learn how practical problems can be mastered and take a look into the future. The conference of Innoform Coaching GbR (Hasbergen, Germany) is aimed at film manufacturers, raw material suppliers and machine builders, but also brand owners and retailers as well as the recycling industry.
