Hubergroup and Comexi present latest developments at Flexo Innovation Day
With a resounding success in attendance, the Comexi Group (Girona, Spain) and hubergroup (Kirchheim, Germany) presented their latest innovations and solutions in a busy Open House called Flexo Innovation Day, which was held on 24 October at Comexi’s and Comexi’s CTec facilities.
This special event was directed to South-West European clients and more than 50 managing and technical directors joined together to attend the different presentations and demonstrations that the two companies performed with latest product developments and applications options for flexible packaging printing.
The Open House brought together experts in the sector such as Sante Conselvan, president FTA-Europe, who explained latest flexographic packaging trends. Also, Paolo Bonamigo focused his speech on the restorable gravure-printed products that currently can be made in flexo printing, the new challenges in raw material evaluation and the special innovative lamination inks and coatings that hubergroup has launched, which are reported to boost print quality and efficiency. In this sense, Dr Lutz Frischmann detailed how hubergroup has been able to overcome binder system immanent restrictions and open up a new world of applications with its solvent based Gecko Platinum Flexo printing inks.
Comexi’s sales director, Jordi Gorchs, and Lluís Castro, hubergroup’s managing director Spain, closed this technical and practical event thanking for the participation and great interest of the attendees. “It has been a fantastic opportunity to show in first-hand what brings benefit to the industry, strengthen bonds between companies and discuss the future of this sector,” says Jordi Gorchs. In the same way, Lluís Castro, emphasises: "We work together with our partners – customers and co-suppliers – in order to provide solutions to the trends in today's packaging that make all our companies more competitive in a more and more demanding market.”
