Follmann first-time exhibitor at FESPA
After Follmann GmbH & Co. KG took over the business field of aqueous coatings for digital print media from com2C on 1 March this year, the family company from Minden, Germany, will be presenting its new product range at FESPA in Berlin from 15 to 18 May 2018. At Stand E10 in Hall 6.2, interested trade fair visitors can find out all about the ready-to-use and water-based ink receptive layers for digital print media.
As the world's largest trade event for large-format printing, FESPA is the ideal platform for Follmann to present its new products for digital printing to an interested specialist audience. "We are very pleased that shortly after expanding our product range we will have our first trade fair appearance and thus the opportunity to get to know com2C's existing customers personally and, of course, to make new contacts," says Heiko Kirstein, head of sales functional coatings at Follmann.
The aqueous and ready-to-use coating substances from Follmann can be used to digitally print on numerous substrates such as films (PVC, PP, PE, PET), paper, textiles, wallpaper or canvas in further processing. They are suitable for various ink and colour systems – be it water-based pigment or dye inks, latex inks, solvent inks or UV-curable inks. Both doctor blade and engraving roller, as well as Mayerbar and padder can be used as application systems. The functional surface coatings enable a high-quality print design and should guarantee excellent colour brilliance. Thanks to the high drying speeds, the media to be printed, such as roll-ups, advertising banners, packaging or labels, can be processed quickly. If required, the coatings also provide increased UV stability, scratch resistance or low flammability.
