Follmann at PSE Europe 2019
Follmann will once again be exhibiting at this year's PSE Europe. From 26 to 28 March 2019 at stand 555 in the MOC (Munich, Germany), the Minden-based company will be providing interested trade fair visitors with information about its pigment preparations for colouring polyurethane as well as coatings and CASE applications. The speciality chemicals expert will also be presenting its microencapsulation technology for the first time at the fair.
As an international trade fair for the polyurethane industry, which brings raw and auxiliary material producers as well as machine and system manufacturers in touch with professional users, PSE Europe is an important platform for Follmann to show visitors its innovative and custom solutions in the field of pigment preparations and, for the first time, introduce its microcapsules and make new contacts.
Whether it is for PVC plastisols for floorings, cable sheathings, films, synthetic leather, toys or PUR systems – Follmann's solvent-free pigment preparations are excellently suited for colouring liquid plastics and polyurethanes. They provide optimum pigment dispersions, high colour brilliance and intensity, and excellent light fastness and thermal stability. These low-fogging and low-migration, VOC-free pigment preparations also excel with broad compatibility and very good storage stability.
The pigment preparations specially developed for industrial applications are particularly suitable for PUR systems, coating systems and typical CASE applications. They also impress with perfect pigment dispersions, brilliant and pure colour shades, broad compatibility and excellent storage stability, and they are VOC- and solvent-free.
In addition to a standard range, Follmann naturally also offers custom solutions adapted to individual customer requirements. This year, however, Follmann will use the trade fair not only to provide information about its pigment preparations, but also to showcase its microencapsulation technology, which, like polyurethane, is both flexible and sustainable. This technology encloses various ingredients in microscopic capsules that can be opened under precisely defined conditions. This makes them the perfect solution for protecting content in the long term. Encasing liquid substances generally turns them into a solid finishing product, which can then be safely transported and used in a resource-saving manner. In addition to the commercially available formaldehyde-containing systems, the Follmann range also comprises formaldehyde-free alternatives and microcapsules based on biopolymers. Fundamentally, Follmann offers adjustable capsule sizes up to 100 μm, customisable core/wall ratios, tailored network density and different release mechanisms, so the customer can choose whether the capsule agent is released, for example, by mechanical stress or by certain temperatures.
