First job training day at Polytec
Motivational lessons by an extreme athlete and insights into an international company – recently, future trainees experienced the first job training day at Polytec GmbH. Under the slogan “Adventure Job Training”, the company from Waldbronn, Germany, which is specialised in optical measuring systems and components, offered an extraordinary programme to the young people: After the company presentation by Polytec’s managing director Alfred Link, the extreme athlete and motivation expert Norman Bücher entered the stage.
The famous adventurer demonstrated how to maintain mental strength, passion and endurance during career challenges. He told the marvelling audience about his 1000km runs through deserts, stair marathons and coping with setbacks. Subsequently, Polytec offered the students insights into the different fields of expertise within the company and the training professions such as industrial clerk, mechatronics engineer, cutting machine operator, warehouse logistics specialist, as well as the dual bachelor courses of studies in supply chain management, IT, mechatronics and electronics. They visited the production and the automated RoboVib Structural Test Station, where they were able to talk to current trainees and students from Polytec.
