The 41st Munich Adhesives and Finishing Symposium brought together about 250 participants from 18 countries from 17 to 19 October at the conference centre of the Sheraton München Arabellapark Hotel. The symposium is traditionally aimed at product and machinery suppliers as well as formulators, users and end consumers of the adhesive, print and converting industries.

The organisers Stephan Hinterwaldner and Dr Michael Gerstenberger – together with the team of Hinterwaldner Consulting – have put together once again an interesting and highly topical programme with much space for networking. The 28 topics overall mainly focussed on the field of hotmelt adhesives.

Besides the impressive and informative plenary session on “Reactive Hotmelts – the gold standard of hotmelt adhesives” (ChemQuest) and the keynote “Protection from mineral oils in paper and film packaging” (Treofan), the research lecture from the University Erlangen-Nuremberg was received very positively.

The 42nd Munich Adhesives and Finishing Symposium will take place from 23 to 25 October 2017 and is dedicated to the topic of “Glueing – Converting – Printing”.
