SIEB & MEYER unveils servo amplifier for Industry 4.0
The servo amplifier SD3 of the drive experts SIEB & MEYER AG (Lüneburg, Germany) is now available as serial device with different performance classes. By means of the provided development tool, comprehensive function libraries for the general drive and control functions of a modern drive amplifier are available.
Based on this open software architecture, the customer can independently programme application solutions that are his core competencies and protect his or her know-how. This is possible based on the available function libraries, e.g. in C/C++. Thanks to the support of an OPC UA-based communication, the foundation for the large topic of Industry 4.0 is laid.
“With our servo amplifier SD3, users stay fully flexible,” claims Torsten Blankenburg, technical director of SIEB & MEYER AG. “The solution is open for customer software and therefore optimally suited to projects in Industry 4.0.” In terms of software, additional functions for user interfaces, statistics, camera integration, communication, data storage, and an integrated web server are available. In terms of hardware, power output stages up to 55 kVA can be integrated. By means of optional modules, different fieldbus interfaces and additional digital and analogue interface can be integrated flexibly.
