Much-needed help from China to Bergamo

30.03.2020 Radici Plastics Suzhou, a Radici Group company specialising in engineering polymer production and based in Jiangsu Province in China, has joined a fund-raising drive promoted by the Italian community in Shanghai to send Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo (where Radici is headquartered) over 20 000 masks and other medical devices.

This equipment has already arrived at its destination. In addition to the donation from Radici Plastics Suzhou, the employees of the company (about one hundred strong) also wanted to participate in the drive by joining the initiative of the Italian community in Shanghai coordinated by some native Bergamascans who live and work in the city. A total of over €35 000 was collected to help the Bergamo area cope with the coronavirus emergency.

More aid to arrive soon

The solidarity campaign is not yet over and, in all probability, more aid will arrive soon. This is evidence that, in this severe global scenario, collaboration among the various organisations located all over the world will become even more valuable.

Measures against the infection

In compliance with local laws and regulations, all Radici Group companies and the Bergamo headquarters, in particular, have immediately adopted measures to prevent the spread of infection and are continuously staying up to date on the evolution of the emergency to further the aim of strengthening the group’s safety culture.
