From production to processing, marketing and sales, the portal will report, comment on and classify current topics relating to organic food and sustainable consumer goods.

The information in German and English is aimed at manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and service providers. The portal is a project of the dfv Media Group in cooperation with NürnbergMesse.

Rainer Miserre, publishing director for technical journals at dfv Mediengruppe, explains how the cooperation between the two companies came about: "Organic4trade.com is based on a concept that we have already implemented very successfully at the FachPack trade fair since 2018. The idea is simple: both partners want to digitally develop the trade fair topics, in this case Biofach and Vivaness, and accompany them with a new information offer."

Danila Brunner, head of Biofach and Vivaness at NürnbergMesse: "With the new portal we want to offer our customers and all interested parties orientation all year round – and not only on four days of the exhibition – along the entire value-added chain. We want to provide the industry with inspiration and information and network all the players even more with each other!"

Themes and target groups

What is special about the new information portal: as an independent and neutral platform, it reports on the organic sector, the branded goods and consumer goods industry along the entire value chain with a focus on sustainability. This does not yet exist on the market in this form. Nearly all Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) are currently the focus of social and political discussion in terms of climate protection, sustainability and resource use.

The articles in the four portal sections producing, processing, marketing and selling deal with current trends and discussions (e.g. in organic farming, quality standards, organic products, trademarks distribution channels, trade channels, research or education and training). Organic4trade.com – sustainable consumer goods addresses target groups within the FMCG industry that are specialised in organic or sustainable products:

- Executives of the manufacturing and processing industry from the organic food and beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors

- Executives from the wholesale, retail and mail order business

- Service providers from the fields of research, development, consulting and design

- Investment decision-makers for machines, materials and processes

- Manufacturers and suppliers of packaging materials and accessories
