Testing system for the detection of undesired gloss effects
Undesirable gloss effects often occur during the manufacture of plastic products. The causes include different contact pressures on tools in the extrusion or injection moulding area or chemical processes. This results in an inhomogeneous appearance and the quality impression is reduced. It is therefore advantageous to be able to detect unwanted gloss effects inline during production. This allows defective products to be sorted out directly and countermeasures to be taken in good time.
Supporting companies in the selection of suitable testing methods
The SKZ, which is active as a broad industrial and research service provider in the plastics sector, is available to interested companies as a consulting and developing partner in the selection and integration of suitable test methods. Above all, the individual circumstances that limit the use of commercially available standard testing systems are taken into account. Here, the SKZ is available with customised special solutions.In addition to the development of data processing methods and test procedures that are precisely tailored to the needs of the customers, training courses as well as system maintenance and support are also part of the services offered by the Plastics Centre.
