In addition, new PLC-based hardware and software has been introduced, recently delivered for the first time with the increasingly popular array system of the USMX 200. It is characterised by non-contact, non-radiometric inline basis weight measurement in real time with high sampling rates and 100 percent product coverage.
Optimisation of performance
In combination with the new controller, MeSys thus improves and optimises the performance and especially the availability and service-friendliness of the system. The modular design allows the implementation of different customer requirements, such as the adaptation of the traversing speed to the path speed or the mapping of different paths within the system.
Establishment of the new software
"Our focus continues to be on establishing the new software as well as the systematic processing of orders. For the former, we carefully examine in each individual case whether the existing system can be converted or whether a new acquisition would be advisable. Since we usually have a long lead time, we can meet the delivery dates even under the current circumstances. Likewise, we are not currently experiencing any major failures on the part of our subcontractors," says Enno Duplitzer, technical manager at MeSys GmbH, adding that his team is currently receiving many e-mails from potential new customers who are interested in finding out more about the products and new or further developments. The company, which is headquartered in Bavaria, is postponing current maintenance work to another date, whereas remote service is generally carried out via Teamviewer and therefore not impeded in any way. www.mesys.de
