T.CON celebrates
20 years of success thanks to unique expertise

One of the most important SAP partner companies in Germany is celebrating an anniversary: T.CON GmbH & Co. KG from Plattling was founded 20 years ago. Today, the 300-strong company is a Gold Partner of SAP SE, one of Germany's top SAP partners and one of the world's leading SAP partners.

The starting shot for the success story was fired in 1999 in a semi-detached house in Deggendorf. The IT consultant Karl Fuchs, the student Stefan Fiedler, another fellow student and a professor from Deggendorf’s University of Applied Sciences pitched their tents there. Michael Gulde, then responsible for IT at a medium-sized company, completed the founding quintet. Their goal: to build a consulting company with a great deal of passion that brings SAP systems to corporate customers.

Today, three of the founders – Karl Fuchs, Michael Gulde and Stefan Fiedler – still manage the business. With its portfolio, T.CON is a global leader in selected areas. The Plattling-based company has received numerous awards such as the SAP Innovation Award.

Most recently, SAP SE honoured T.CON's excellent industry expertise in the mill industry in Germany. This sector includes companies from the foil, paper, cardboard, nonwoven, textile and metal industries as well as weaving mills. T.CON may use the certificate "SAP Recognized Expertise in the mill products industry in Germany". Currently, only four SAP partners worldwide bear this award. "Our process knowledge and our solution competence for this industry are unique, even in international comparison," says Karl Fuchs, who is responsible for sales on the management board. T.CON's customers also include companies from the plastics production, component production, mechanical engineering, metal processing and automotive sectors.

The scope of the projects ranges from the complete introduction to the carve-out and the implementation of individual solutions to the S/4HANA transition. In addition to its consulting expertise, T.CON relies on its own developments for the SAP world. These include PLC-COCKPIT for calculating complex components, MES CAT as control and acquisition software for production, and TRIM SUITE for waste optimisation. These products also include the HR PORTAL for HR professionals and the ERP solution package SMART FOR MILL.

T.CON's consultants and IT experts now work at five company locations. In addition to the offices in Plattling, there are branch offices in Villingen-Schwenningen, Berlin, Hamburg and Regensburg. "Our employees are the heart of our company. We offer everyone the opportunity to develop their own strengths," says Michael Gulde, the managing director responsible for staff. One of our leitmotifs is: "If everyone does what they do best, T.CON is at work and success is guaranteed." Employees from more than a dozen different nations work at T.CON. The proportion of women is 32.5%. Free time management in the form of trust-based working hours or a home office is a matter of course here. Each employee is responsible for his or her own tasks.

A large proportion of the 300 employees are currently working on the development of their own new and innovative products, such as cloud technology. "We have also set ourselves ambitious goals for the next 20 years," says Stefan Fiedler, who is responsible for the technology division as managing director. "For example, we are currently investing substantially in the development of our own software products. Further internationalisation of the business is also on the agenda. The number of employees and sales should continue to grow strongly in the coming years.”
