R+E Automation Technology GmbH, which is based in Fellbach, Germany, has become a part of Optima Packaging Group (Schwäbisch Hall, Germany) effective from 1 July. The more than 30 employees will remain independent and under the same management. The product portfolio of R+E comprises assembly machines and lines for medical technology and pharmaceuticals, e.g. for the manufacture of syringes.

“We have been observing this interesting company for quite some time,” explains Hans Bühler, managing partner of Optima. “We are glad that R+E is now a part of our family. On 5 July we were able to welcome the first delegation in Schwäbisch Hall.” An important aspect is, according to Bühler, the mutual exchange between the two entities. R+E’s product portfolio may profit in future, for example, from cooperation with the business units Optima Pharma and Optima Life Science.
