LÜRAFLEX celebrates 70th anniversary
LÜRAFLEX GmbH (Neuss, Germany) is celebrating its 70th anniversary these days. The company, which was initially based in Ratingen, was founded by Gerhard Lückenotto in 1949 as a retailer for rubberised articles. Over the years, Lückenotto specialised in the field of rollers. The next step was to set up an own roller production. The Lückenotto family successfully led the company into the third generation. They then sold the company in 2012.
Over the years, LÜRAFLEX not only developed as a roller manufacturer, but also constantly expanded its range with special solutions. This resulted in eight German and European patents and industrial property rights. One of the best-known special solutions is the LÜRAFLEX wide stretch roll, which is now manufactured in a wide variety of designs, each exactly suitable for the corresponding application, but also the air chamber roll, the anti-adhesive surface, the control roller, the special hoses and finally the new generation of Flying Splice Roll.
