Kongskilde Industries A/S, a leading supplier of system solutions for industry and agriculture located in Soro, Denmark, has entered a sales agreement for its grass and soil businesses, but will retain its industry and grain business. The grass and soil business has been acquired by CNH Industrial N.V., a market leader in production goods. With this transaction, the DLG Group, Kongskilde’s owner, continues its strategy of selling non-central units while strengthening central business units.

“We are satisfied that Kongskilde Agriculture will have a new, strong owner. CNH Industrial will continue the service for customers and end users of Kongskilde’s grass and soil business, while the company will further develop the business. The transaction will enable DLG to concentrate on the further development of the two remaining business units Kongskilde Industry and Kongskilde Grain and leverage their potential to the fullest,” said Kim Balle, chairman of Kongskilde and COO of DLG Group.

The transaction consists of a transfer of assets and brands from Kongskilde Industries Grass and Soil, e.g. all production activities in Kutno, Poland, and in Överum, Sweden, as well as a leasing contract for the production activities in Hudson, Illinois, and further sites in the EMEA, APAC and NAFTA regions. It underlies customary closing conditions such as approval by the relevant antitrust agencies.

Kongskilde Industry is a world market leader in the field of waste treatment and finished products for paper, plastics and packaging, while Kongskilde Grain offers harvesting systems mostly in Denmark. In the following years, an increased growth of Kongskilde Industries is expected due to more customer partnerships and investments in new system offerings. Furthermore, new products will be introduced that optimise production and offer better production environments to customers.
