Kiefel GmbH (Freilassing, Germany), a global leader in machinery for plastics processing, looks back at a successful year 2016. Also in 2017, the company expects significant growth increases.

After a positive development of the incoming orders in 2016, the resulting turnover in 2017 – including the turnover of the subsidiaries Bosch Sprang in The Netherlands, Mould & Matic Solutions in Austria and SWA in the Czech Republic – increased by 50% to about €200M. The incoming orders in the first six months of 2017 increased in a similar manner. The good business development has therefore stabilised and it becomes evident that 2017 will likely become another record year for Kiefel.

Incoming orders and turnovers have increased in all business units at Kiefel. While the packaging industry remains the largest contributor to the overall result, machinery and lines for automotive and medical have also witnessed record growth.

“The incoming orders and thus the strong increase in turnover in the past year have clearly surpassed our expectations. In the current year, we also expect a significant increase in sales numbers compared to the previous year,” underlines managing director and CEO Thomas J. Halletz. “This is the result of the successful placement of our innovative lines and technologies on the one hand. On the other hand, we were able to round off our product portfolio with some acquisitions and thus open up new customer circles.  Additionally, the family-owned Brückner Group, which we have been a part of for some years, strongly promotes the sustainable development of its companies. This is a main contributor to the current success of Kiefel.”
