FAES SRT AG becomes member of Edelmann Technology Group

The FAES Group (Wollerau, Switzerland) has sold its subsidiary FAES SRT AG to Edelmann Technology Group, which is based in Kleinwallstadt, Germany. With this step, FAES SRT is expected to have the perfect conditions to further develop the company together with other members of the group that are also globally active in slitting and winding technology.

FAES SRT AG was separated from renowned FAES AG on 1 December 2015, in order to focus on the manufacture of slitting and winding lines for demanding films and foils. FAES SRT AG together with its subsidiary FAES SRT Inc. in Sarasota, Florida, is globally leading in the distribution of machinery for the confectioning of thermal transfer and dye sublimation films.

Edelmann was founded in 1946 and has brought to market numerous inventions for the textile industry. Thus, Edelmann was the world’s first manufacturer of a slitting and winding line for nonwovens and has gained a leading position in this field over the years. The company group also includes PSA Technology GmbH in Bitburg, Germany and Gerd Wolff Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Hagen, Germany. PSA Technology is known for diverse customer-specific solutions for slitting and winding machinery for web-type materials made from paper, film, nonwovens, laminates, aluminium and composite films. Gerd Wolff Maschinenfabrik produces innovative bkm conveyor lines that are intended to deliver decisive advantages to customers when it comes to rolling, winding and cutting of coils made of steel.

The Edelmann Group now boasts seven sites in Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and USA.
