110 years of company history – the fourth generation moves up the ranks

07.03.2023 In February 2023, DIENES Werke celebrated its 110th anniversary. The beginnings were made in Remscheid. After the First World War, the company was looking for a suitable location for a production facility in order to produce round knives and valves itself.

DIENES found this place in 1920 in Overath-Vilkerath, where the headquarters of the international group of companies is still located today. The company has always diversified its product range so that, in addition to circular knives, it now also offers knife holders, complete cutting systems and a wide range of services.

Data-based optimisation

Digital services from the TEOC ("The End of Coincidences") product family round off the DIENES portfolio – both as hardware and software components. The goal is to provide customers with data-based optimisations. As a second mainstay, DIENES is also active in valve technology for industrial applications in compressors, pumps and compressors.

In addition to the company anniversary, DIENES Werke has welcomed Julian Supe-Dienes as an additional family member to the management team from March 2023. Currently, Rudolf Supe-Dienes, who originally managed the company with his brother Bernd in the third generation, is the sole managing director. With Julian Supe-Dienes, the fourth generation is now also represented in the managing director's office e. After studying industrial engineering in Aachen, Julian Supe-Dienes was already able to gain professional experience in leading international companies before joining the family business as sales manager in September 2021.

Developing new business strategies

Maja Supe-Dienes, another member of the founding family, joined DIENES Werke on 1 March 2023. As project manager in the area of company development and optimisation, she will develop and implement new business strategies in close cooperation with the managing director in order to continue to position the company for the future. After completing her Master's degree in Management at the ESMT in Berlin, she already completed a traineeship at DIENES and subsequently worked for a leading management consultancy.

Both siblings are looking forward to following in the footsteps of the previous generations and actively shaping the development of the company together with the international team.
