Increased production volume and attracting new clients are the main goals of Jiménez Godoy’s investment in Comexi technology.

This is the second Comexi offset press purchased by Jiménez Godoy, and will be installed at the company’s facilities in Murcia.

Significant growth

“In recent years we have experienced significant growth, partly due to the purchase of our first Comexi Offset CI8. The acquisition of a second offset press will allow us to increase production volume and offer our clients productive security, which will simultaneously attract other companies,” explains Francisco Jiménez, managing director of Jiménez Godoy. From the moment the company acquired a CI8 Offset machine, he has been especially satisfied with the service offered by Comexi. "Continuous collaborative growth with an experienced company such as Comexi is our objective".

The Comexi Offset CI8 press is the result of combining the advantages of offset variable size printing with central drum technology. It is considered to be the best solution for short and medium size runs, embraces the demand of time to market and printing quality, reduces operative cost, and has less of an environmental impact. This machine has much faster changeover times in comparison to other conventional technologies. Furthermore, the Comexi Offset CI8 provides maximum flexibility through the combination of multiple SKUs within the same print job, which reduces changes and waste.

Environmentally responsible

The offset central impression printing technology is a two-fold environmentally responsible option, as print is done without solvents. Frontal printing, with EB (Electron Beam) protective varnishes, allows for the replacement of laminated products or the reduction of the number of layers due to the capabilities of chemical, thermal, and scratch resistance of EB lacquers. Effectively, this facilitates the sealing of monofilm products and the recycling of packaging solutions, all this guaranteeing the highest quality. The EB curing system consumes low energy and provides high productivity, with low migration inks and low odour.

“Comexi's central drum offset printing allows to be faster, regarding both prepress and job changeover. The cost of prepress is considerably lower than other conventional printing technologies, as a new job can be executed in less than two hours, and an entire set of 7 plates can be accomplished in under 20 minutes,” says Felip Ferrer, the offset brand manager of Comexi's Printing Business Unit.
