Majority shareholding in WDB Systemtechnik GmbH

The company bundles the competencies and many years of experience of more than 500 employees from companies in the Jagenberg Group and supplements these with supplies and services from strategic partners, depending on the requirements.

Machines for the paper, film and printing industry

WDB Systemtechnik GmbH is an owner-managed, medium-sized company with approx. 20 employees and has been based in Enger (near Herford, Germany) since 1995. The focus of the company's activities is on machine and plant construction. The company manufactures machines for the paper, film and printing industries as well as for the packaging sector. The core machine parts are manufactured in the company's own mechanical production and then assembled. This enables individual machine concepts in close cooperation with customers, with a consistent focus on environmentally friendly and resource-saving technologies.

In the future, Jörg Wieger as well as Kai Schmedding will remain active as co-partners and managing directors and will be actively involved in the joint strategy of Jagenberg Group.

Strengthened market position

Jörg Wieger sees considerable growth potential in Jagenberg's participation and emphasises: "The strategic merger enables us to bundle our joint competencies and resources and thus jointly manufacture high-quality machines and systems for the coating and decor printing industry. We will continue to push and expand our strength in special machine construction with individual solutions for our customers, especially in the area of conversions and plant expansions." The transaction is still formally subject to the usual supervisory bodies.
