Deepened partnership with Aicomp

29.03.2022 Since 2014, the Aicomp Group, a leading provider of ERP solutions for the packaging industry with locations in Europe and the USA, and the Plattling, Germany-based SAP Gold Partner T.CON GmbH & Co. As a leading provider of complex SAP variant configurations and SAP cloud solutions, Aicomp specialises in ERP industry solutions in the packaging industry, primarily for corrugated board, folding carton and film packaging. As a full-service SAP provider, T.CON is a specialist in setting up digitally integrated end-to-end processes in manufacturing companies. One focus of T.CON's SAP SE-certified expertise is on surface manufacturing, the so-called mill products in the SAP Industry Solution Portfolio, and here in particular in the areas of paper, film and coating. T.CON focuses on comprehensive SAP standard modules as well as industry solutions for planning and production optimisation.

Together, T.CON and Aicomp offer their customers a solution that is already integrated into the SAP product configuration and enables fast turnaround times for quotation requests, efficiency increases and production optimisation to reduce waste.

The packaging market is looking for integrated solutions

"We have recognised for some time that the market, especially in the packaging industry, is increasingly demanding integrated solutions. We are convinced that our two companies complement each other ideally with their products and solutions and that we can offer our customers real added value here based on SAP systems," explains Jens Hennecke, CEO EMEA at Aicomp.

"The aim of the partnership between these two highly specialised companies, which complement each other perfectly, is to provide packaging manufacturers with continuous end-to-end processes – from ordering to receipt of payment on a system platform that is fully integrated with SAP," says Saša Mihajlović, head of the paper and packaging production division at T.CON.

In addition to dedicated SAP expertise, both partners bring a range of highly specialised software products to their partnership that complement the standard SAP portfolio.

In addition to all the predefined industry logics and processes, Aicomp is expanding the software solution portfolio with its SAP ERP add-on VC PowerPack for real-time configuration and costing, as well as SAP Sales Cloud from the SAP C/4HANA portfolio for customer relationship management. In particular, T.CON brings TRIM SUITE for waste optimisation, for example in corrugated production, to the collaboration, as well as MES CAT for production execution and to support production planning and control.

Best-practice solutions that can be adapted as needed

"In order to provide more packaging manufacturers with a secure path to digitalisation, our partnership will include the development of further pre-configured and fully integrated best-practice solutions – i.e. solution packages that can be adapted flexibly and with manageable effort to individual customer requirements as required. We focus on end-to-end industry-specific process optimisations combined with fast implementation scenarios," says Christopher Stangl, head of the discrete manufacturing business unit at T.CON.

"The deep integration of these market-leading software products into SAP ERP enables packaging manufacturers to build specialised end-to-end solutions that guarantee high reliability and, thanks to state-of-the-art technology, enable agile scalability for future market and production requirements. Real-time data exchange and the ability to receive and process data without any manipulation are very significant. In addition, the maintenance effort is minimised by eliminating interfaces to external services," says Jeroen Koopman, CEO Americas at Aicomp.
