Dr Rainer Rauberger, who joined the paper and film finishing company VPF GmbH & Co. KG (Sprockhövel, Germany) three years ago as sales manager, died unexpectedly at the age of 49. The management and staff of the company are deeply shocked and mourn the painful loss together with his family.

"Dr Rainer Rauberger has achieved a lot in his area of responsibility as sales manager, from which VPF will continue to benefit in the future. He has been a committed and successful contributor to the implementation of the corporate strategy and has enjoyed high esteem among customers and colleagues," stated the company. He had many years of industry experience and a deep knowledge of adhesives, which made him a sought-after and competent consultant. He earned an excellent reputation in the labelling and adhesives industry.

"His commitment, his attention to detail in many things and his continuing thirst for knowledge were unique. We will miss him, his sense of humour and the often far-reaching discussions, even beyond operational matters," wrote VPF managing director Ralf Waltmann in an internal funeral message. The sympathy of the company goes especially to his young family. Dr Rauberger leaves behind a wife and a twelve-year-old son.
