New CEO appointed

19.11.2021 SAM (Sung An Machinery Co., Ltd) has recently announced that Joon Shin, currently executive director, will assume the role of CEO immediately.

“I am honoured to become SAM’s next CEO and proud to be the 3rd generation Shin family member to lead the company,” said Joon. He joined SAM in 2007 and has held several key senior management roles. He was also educated in the United States and understands the importance of being a global operation.

Taking SAM to the next level

Joon succeeds Dong Seong (DS) Shin, who will continue as the president and special advisor to the management team. Under DS’s leadership, SAM has doubled its sales volume and has become a world leader in manufacturing of converting machinery.

DH Shin, SAM’s chairman and Joon’s father, stated: “I have been waiting many years for this moment and am excited to see my son lead the organisation that my father started. Having been exposed to the business his entire life; he is ready to take SAM to the next level.”
