Together with Hans Bühler (managing partner), Gerhard Breu (general representative, Optima Pharma Division) and Jan Glass (CFO), König will be responsible for the further development of the group. His focus will be on products and markets. His responsibilities also include the strategic development and increased internationalisation of the Optima Consumer Division and other subsidiaries.
Positive business developmentThe Optima group of companies is on course for growth. In line with the positive business development, the company has been able to win over a top manager from the packaging machinery industry to accompany its further growth. "We are very pleased to have gained an experienced manager for Optima in Dr Stefan König, who brings with him a broad knowledge of special machinery construction and our target industries," says Bühler.
Expertise in the food and pharmaceutical sectorsKönig is particularly familiar with the food and pharmaceutical industries and has experience in series production. Before joining Optima, the 55-year-old held senior management positions for over 20 years, including four years in Asia. Most recently, König was CEO at Bosch Verpackungstechnik, now Syntegon Technology.
König, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, describes himself as a "constructive team player, forward and out-of-the-box thinker as well as a driver of intercultural and cross-functional cooperation with high demands on results." The married father of three is looking forward to his new tasks at the Schwäbisch Hall-based family group: "I am very pleased to now be part of such a dynamically developing group of companies that is a technological leader in many areas."www.optima-packaging.com
