Since its foundation in 2006, FMP Technology GmbH has been managed by its current main shareholder Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Franz Durst in an executive function. The company is a spin-off from the university chair of fluid mechanics in Erlangen, Germany, and has so far developed products in the fields of coating and drying technology as well as injection nozzle technology for internal combustion engines.

In 2017, the company underwent a restructuring process to break away from research institute-like structures and become a medium-sized industrial company. In order to further advance this process, Prof. Dr. Daniel Eggerath, a former employee and doctoral student of the company, will take over the management of FMP Technology GmbH.

"I am, of course, looking forward to returning to my first place of work. My assessment is that FMP Technology deserves a firm position in the market due to its innovative charisma. My task is to seize the existing large potential, which is present in the company. With a clear focus on the customer's process, we will offer tailor-made products in the areas of coating, drying and spray technology, adapted to the customer's needs," says Eggerath.

Franz Durst will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity with his proven expertise and enrich it with further innovative ideas.

"With Daniel Eggerath we have gained an experienced expert for FMP Technology GmbH, whose knowledge we trust and whose experience we will undoubtedly benefit from. I look forward to working with him and wish him every success in his new role," explains Durst.
